Mainfreight is hiring for the position of Manager – Talent & Organisational Development for its Mumbai office located at Marol. Candidates with lesser experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager – Talent & Organisational Development role. Mainfreight is a global logistics provider established in 1978 with operations across 27 countries through more than 333 branches and over 10,500 team members worldwide. The company operates across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Warehousing, and Transport services. Mainfreight has a presence in India with offices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi, supported by a growing team, and is expanding its operations.
The role will serve as the Lead HR for India and will be responsible for driving both strategic and operational HR initiatives across the organization. The selected candidate will manage the complete employee lifecycle, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation support, statutory compliance, HR operations, learning and development, employee engagement, and business partnering while supporting organizational objectives.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, overseeing the complete employee lifecycle from joining to exit, driving performance management and employee development initiatives, handling employee relations, grievance resolution, engagement activities, coordinating payroll inputs, compensation and benefits administration, maintaining HR policies, HRMS, employee records, and HR documentation, partnering with business leaders for workforce planning, identifying training needs, planning and delivering learning and development initiatives, leading team-building events across offices, and overseeing office administration including facility management, housekeeping, office maintenance, and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the freight forwarding business, including Air Freight or Ocean Freight operations. Applicants should possess a Graduate degree or MBA/PGDM in Human Resources. Experience with the Keka HRMS platform will be an added advantage, although candidates with experience using other HRMS platforms and the ability to adapt are also encouraged to apply. The company is looking for candidates with approximately 7 to 10 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner for the Manager role. Candidates with comparatively lesser experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager position. Strong communication skills in English are required, while knowledge of local languages is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate should be process-oriented, customer-focused, detail-oriented, capable of prioritizing tasks, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
