Job Description
Soch Street is hiring a Chief Human Resources Officer for its Bengaluru office. Technology, Software as a Service, Artificial Intelligence. The company is looking for a strategic Human Resources leader who has successfully scaled the People function in a fast-growing technology organization with more than 1500 employees. This is a founder's office adjacent leadership role responsible for building the organization's people strategy, talent infrastructure, leadership capability, and culture while supporting rapid business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Organization Design and Workforce Planning
Design organizational structures, reporting hierarchies, team structures, and spans of control that support rapid business expansion.
Lead workforce planning aligned with product roadmaps, business priorities, and funding milestones instead of only departmental hiring requests.
Talent Acquisition Strategy
Establish hiring standards for Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Research, and technical leadership roles.
Build and optimize recruitment infrastructure including hiring pipelines, interview processes, candidate scorecards, and recruitment governance.
Personally manage hiring for senior leadership and business-critical positions.
Develop employer branding strategies to attract top technology talent.
Learning and Development
Build and establish a comprehensive Learning and Development function.
Design technical upskilling programs for engineering teams.
Develop structured onboarding programs for experienced lateral hires.
Create leadership development programs for first-time managers.
Develop career progression frameworks and internal mobility opportunities to retain high-potential employees.
Performance Management and Culture
Design performance management systems with clear job levels, competency frameworks, promotion criteria, and calibration processes.
Develop compensation philosophy including salary bands, employee stock ownership plans, and variable compensation structures.
Strengthen organizational culture and ensure it scales effectively with business growth.
Leadership Development
Develop leadership capability and succession planning for key business roles.
Design and deliver leadership development programs.
Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders and management teams.
Human Resources Operations and Compliance
Oversee payroll, POSH compliance, statutory compliance, Human Resources Information Systems, and core Human Resources operations.
Develop scalable Human Resources systems and processes capable of supporting rapid workforce growth.
Strategic Business Partnering
Partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team on organizational strategy, business growth, funding, and workforce decisions.
Serve as a strategic advisor on people-related initiatives across the organization.
Candidate Requirements
Demonstrated experience scaling the Human Resources or People function within a Technology, Software as a Service, or Artificial Intelligence company through significant business growth.
Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering Learning and Development programs.
Experience building Human Resources processes and systems from the ground up in startup or high-growth environments.
Ability to combine strategic leadership with operational execution.
Strong expertise in Talent Acquisition, Organization Design, Workforce Planning, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Compensation Strategy, Employee Development, and Human Resources Operations.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
High ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and evolving business environments.
Candidate should be based in Bengaluru.
