Job Description
Wiley is hiring a Lead Specialist, Payroll - APAC for a remote position based in India. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Payroll and is responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple APAC countries. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end payroll processing across APAC regions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of base pay, stock compensation, taxes, and statutory benefits, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journal entry reviews and approvals, partnering with HR, Finance, and Employee Services teams to deliver a seamless payroll experience, driving payroll process improvements and operational efficiencies, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, supporting payroll-related regulatory filings, managing payroll setup and implementation for new countries and entities, supporting payroll system implementations including ADP Celergo, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues. Candidates should have 8–9 years of payroll experience with strong exposure to APAC payroll operations including China, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Experience with global payroll processes, payroll accounting, compliance, internal controls, ADP tools such as Celergo and GlobalView, stakeholder management, and working across multiple time zones is required.
