Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for the position of Human Resources Rep II for its Financial Services HR - Global Finance Services Division based in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The Human Resources Rep II will assist in the administration of various human resource services and functions within a facility, division, or shared services environment. The role supports HR operations and acts as a liaison between process owners and service center groups to ensure smooth HR service delivery and process standardization.
Key responsibilities include supporting recruiting needs and workforce planning, conducting new employee orientation, liaising with regional and corporate HR teams, and interacting with management and employees to resolve personnel, compensation, payroll, and benefits-related issues. The selected candidate will interface with Corporate Human Resources, Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll teams to support employee concerns and HR processes.
The role includes administration and support for performance management processes, relocation and international service employee issues, labor relations, HR communications, employee opinion surveys, succession planning, compliance with governmental regulations, internal investigations, payroll administration, time and attendance management, PeopleSoft activities, and learning initiatives.
In a shared services environment, responsibilities include supporting code of conduct matters, EEO administration, temporary layoffs, employee surveys, leaves of absence including medical and family leave, HR consulting, job evaluations, reorganizations, talent management systems, compensation administration, process documentation, and service center support.
The candidate will track and report HR metrics and measurements, provide data-driven insights to management, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. The role requires evaluating problems, developing solutions of varying complexity, and ensuring process changes are appropriately governed and documented.
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of various HR areas including benefits, employment practices, compensation, payroll, company policies, and HR processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate learning interventions are essential. The role requires maintaining confidentiality while building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should have a college or university degree or equivalent experience, preferably in communications, along with 2-4 years of HR-related experience. Strong human relations skills, effective communication abilities, and experience working in HR service operations are highly desirable.
This position requires working from the office five days a week.
