Job Description
dsm-firmenich is hiring an HR Assistant for its Mumbai Metropolitan Region office located in Andheri. This is a contract-based opportunity designed to provide critical administrative and operational support to the HR team while ensuring the smooth execution of daily HR processes and activities.
The HR Assistant will play a key role in managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, compliance, leave management, employee engagement, and exit processes. The position is intended to support the HR function during peak activity periods and special projects while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance in HR operations.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end onboarding activities including PID creation and system access to ensure a smooth Day 1 experience for new hires. The candidate will conduct Day 1 inductions, coordinate floor walks, and manage document collection processes.
The role requires close collaboration with the recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance to joining. Responsibilities include scheduling introductory meetings between new hires, managers, buddies, and IT teams.
The candidate will generate routine HR reports covering metrics such as headcount, turnover, and attendance. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the creation of HR dashboards and presentations for leadership and supporting HR data management activities.
The position also involves compliance and legal support activities including organizing quarterly POSH committee meetings, preparing meeting minutes, conducting awareness sessions, managing Internal Committee appointment letters, ensuring submission of POSH annual returns, coordinating PF Helpdesk sessions, and assisting with statutory returns and audits.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining and updating the India Hub Page with employee announcements and policy updates, planning and executing Long Service Award events, coordinating trophies, certificates, and gifts, maintaining mail distribution lists, coordinating wellness events across sites, and supporting general HR administrative functions.
