We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Specialist with strong knowledge of HR operations and hands-on payroll experience to join our team in Hyderabad.
Role Overview
The HR Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, employee lifecycle activities, payroll processing, attendance, leave management, statutory compliance coordination, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of relevant HR experience, including practical payroll processing experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day HR activities and employee records.
Handle onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes.
Maintain employee files, HR documentation, and HRIS records.
Prepare and issue offer letters, appointment letters, and other HR documents.
Ensure smooth coordination between employees and management.
Payroll Management – Mandatory
Manage monthly payroll processing for employees.
Collect and verify attendance, timesheets, leave records, and salary inputs.
Calculate salaries, deductions, incentives, and other payroll components.
Coordinate with finance for timely salary processing.
Handle payroll queries and resolve salary-related discrepancies.
Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
Support payroll compliance activities, including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
Attendance & Leave Management
Monitor employee attendance, late marks, permissions, and leave records.
Maintain monthly attendance and payroll inputs.
Coordinate with managers for attendance regularization and approvals.
Ensure accurate leave balances and records.
Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle
Coordinate recruitment activities, interview scheduling, and candidate follow-ups.
Support sourcing, screening, and onboarding of candidates.
Maintain recruitment trackers and employee databases.
Conduct exit formalities and maintain separation records.
Employee Engagement & HR Support
Address employee queries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits.
Support employee engagement activities and internal communication.
Assist in performance management and appraisal processes.
Implement HR policies and maintain a positive work environment.
Compliance & Reporting
Maintain HR reports, payroll reports, and employee data.
Support statutory compliance and documentation.
Prepare monthly HR MIS reports for management.
Ensure timely completion of HR activities and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in HR operations / HR Generalist roles.
Mandatory: Hands-on experience in monthly payroll processing. Strong knowledge of attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs. Familiarity with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and applicable labour law compliance. Experience with HRMS / payroll software and MS Excel. Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Experience Experience managing payroll independently or coordinating end-to-end payroll activities. Experience in a technology, IT services, or digital transformation company. Knowledge of Zoho People, Zoho Payroll, or similar HRMS/payroll tools. Experience handling employee onboarding, documentation, and HR reporting.
