Job Overview:
Impulse is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Executive to manage and execute the complete monthly payroll cycle for 400+ on-roll employees, alongside maintaining statutory oversight for contract and third-party personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle salary computation (gross-to-net, arrears, retrospective revisions, pro-ration, LOP, and F&F settlements).
- Perform attendance audits by reconciling biometric and time-office data with leave records, rosters, and the muster before payroll freezes.
- Oversee statutory compliance obligations including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, and Labour Welfare Fund returns/registers.
- Manage salary taxation, monthly TDS calculations across tax regimes, investment proof verifications, Form 24Q, and Form 16.
- Oversee PF and non-PF covered populations, excluded/international workers, consultants, retainers, interns, and vendor staff.
- Ensure contract labor compliance, including principal employer obligations, contractor license validation, remittance verification, and invoice audits.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on India payroll processing experience.
- Minimum 3 years independently managing statutory compliance.
- Prior experience processing payroll for an workforce of 300+ employees.
- Hands-on experience in personally filing PF, ESIC, and Form 24Q returns.
- Proficiency in leading payroll software platforms and advanced MS Excel.
- Practical working knowledge of Labour Codes, revised wage definitions, and their impact on PF, gratuity, and bonus.
