Job Description
James Douglas operates within the executive search, recruitment, and HR consulting industry. We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded HR leader for the position of Head – HR for an India Delivery Centre within a GCC and Shared Services environment. Reporting directly to the Global Head of HR, this leader will independently own the complete people agenda for a growing delivery centre, bridging strategic organizational design with hands-on HR execution across the entire employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end HR agenda and independently drive people strategies for a rapidly expanding delivery centre.
Design, build, and implement core HR frameworks covering Performance Management, Succession Planning, L&D, Organizational Development, and Employee Engagement.
Partner closely with executive and functional leadership on workforce planning, organizational structuring, and change management.
Oversee day-to-day HR operations, statutory compliance, employee relations, and end-to-end employee lifecycle management.
Build organizational capabilities and internal leadership pipelines through structured talent reviews and development initiatives.
Leverage HRIS and modern digital HR tools to streamline processes, automate workflows, and provide actionable people analytics.
Collaborate effectively with global leadership and cross-border stakeholders without relying on large central COE structures.
Requirements and Qualifications
10 to 15 years of progressive HR experience with strong, balanced exposure across all key HR functions.
Prior experience independently leading the HR function in a Startup, GCC, Shared Services, Outsourcing, or fast-paced entrepreneurial setup is mandatory.
Demonstrated mastery over performance management systems, organizational development, employee retention, and operations.
Strong stakeholder management, executive presence, and the ability to operate independently within lean team structures.
MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
This position operates on a full-time, office-based schedule in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
