The Learning & Development Specialist will play a key role in shaping employee learning experiences and development programs across the organization. This role focuses on designing and delivering onboarding experiences that help new hires become productive and successful from day one while supporting a culture of continuous learning and development.
Key responsibilities include supporting the design and continuous improvement of new hire onboarding programs, ensuring employees feel welcomed, informed, and equipped for success. Assist in building and updating training materials including presentations, job aids, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and learning content that aligns with company expectations and business goals.
The role involves coordinating and facilitating onboarding sessions, learning workshops, training programs, and development events across both in-person and virtual formats. Facilitate engaging learning experiences through interactive sessions, workshops, discussions, and activities that encourage participation, retention, and practical application of knowledge.
Support the development and execution of manager training programs by scheduling sessions, preparing training materials, tracking participation, and gathering feedback to improve future learning initiatives. Maintain and update manager training content including performance management resources, leadership toolkits, and facilitation materials.
Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, learner assignments, system administration, and user support. Track and report on key Learning and Development metrics such as completion rates, assessment scores, learner feedback, and training effectiveness.
Assist in creating dashboards and reports that communicate learning outcomes and program impact to People Team stakeholders. Collaborate with subject matter experts across the business to ensure learning materials remain accurate, current, and aligned with business requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for Learning and Development processes, documentation, and learner experiences. Identify opportunities to streamline training programs and enhance employee development outcomes.
The ideal candidate should be adaptable, resilient, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong communication skills, creativity, attention to detail, and an interest in designing structured learning pathways are essential.
Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in Learning and Development, HR, Instructional Design, or a related field. Internships and co-op experience will also be considered. Experience in a technology or startup environment is advantageous. Exposure to organizational change initiatives and their impact on people and culture is desirable.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to manage projects from initiation to completion and create engaging training content that supports employee learning and development. A strong interest in helping employees grow, succeed, and build long-term careers is essential for this role.
