Our client is a global Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) firm with more than 20 years of experience. The organization specializes in delivering high-quality Workshare Services across Architecture, Interiors, Landscape, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection (MEPF), along with a broad range of BIM and specialized engineering design support services. The company collaborates with some of the world’s leading design and construction firms and operates through advanced delivery centers in Gurugram and the United States.
The General Manager - Human Resources will lead and manage the organization's entire human resource function while partnering with business leaders to drive talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, workforce planning, learning and development, and HR operations. The role is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives and fostering a high-performance, employee-centric culture.
Key responsibilities include partnering with business leaders on HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development. The incumbent will lead talent acquisition initiatives for technical and leadership hiring, drive performance management, succession planning, and talent development programs, and enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture. The role will oversee compensation, benefits, reward and recognition programs, ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR governance, manage HR operations, HRMS, reporting, and employee lifecycle processes, and lead all HR functions in a multi-location environment.
The selected candidate will take ownership of the organization's HR activities, act as a vital link between top management and vertical heads on HR matters, provide solutions to HR challenges, and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the organization. The role requires accountability to senior management on all HR-related matters.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience handling HR functions including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Performance Management, along with 2–3 years in a leadership role within a reputed organization. Experience in HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, HR Policy Development, HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Rewards Management, HR Compliance, Labour Laws, Industrial Relations, HR Governance, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Organizational Development, Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives, and scaling large workforce environments is essential. Exposure to Engineering Services, Consultancy, Construction, Technology, or related industries will be preferred.
The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized management institute and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership capabilities, integrity, accountability, empathy, resilience, strategic vision, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exposure to HR metrics and analytics.
