Job Description

Opella is looking for an experienced HR Operations & Benefits Specialist to manage end-to-end India payroll operations, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, employee benefits, and payroll-related queries. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in India payroll processing and a solid understanding of statutory and labour compliances. Key Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end India payroll processing with accuracy and adherence to timelines. • Handle statutory compliance related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), MLWF/LWF, Income Tax, Bonus, and other applicable labour laws. • Manage statutory challans, filings, payments, and employee registrations including UAN and ESIC. • Ensure accurate payroll accounting, reconciliation, and payroll audit activities. • Manage employee bonus calculations and payroll-related activities. • Address and resolve employee queries related to payroll, benefits, deductions, and statutory matters. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external payroll/statutory partners for timely payroll processing. • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. • Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and periodic reporting. • Ensure timely resolution of payroll discrepancies and compliance-related issues. Eligibility: • 3–8 years of hands-on experience in India Payroll and HR Operations. • Around 3 years of relevant payroll experience is ideally preferred. • Strong end-to-end India payroll processing experience. • Mandatory knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, MLWF/LWF, Income Tax, Bonus, and labour compliances. • Hands-on experience with statutory challans, filings, payments, UAN, and ESIC registrations. • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliation, and payroll audits. • Experience handling employee bonuses and payroll-related queries. • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
