The People Team Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for employees. This position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of People operations, touching upon HR administration, employee support, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, including transfers, terminations, employee data changes, and employment verification notices
• Respond to employee email inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR-related matters in a timely and professional manner
• Support offboarding processes including exit emails, benefits continuation information, and final payroll coordination for severance
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including open enrollment support and responding to benefits-related questions
• Participate in special HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and program development
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive employee information and adhere to data privacy regulations
• Collaborate with other People Team members and departments to ensure consistent HR practices and strong interdepartmental communication
• Assist with HR compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
Preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in an HR administrative or specialist role, preferably within a financial services environment
• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS), with Workday experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
